The Temple College women's basketball team hosts the No. 18 McLennan Community College Highlanders at Kirby Johnson Court on Wednesday evening.
Tip-off time from Kirby Johnson Court is 5 pm.
Prior to the game, the program will host Sophomore Night. Gabby Edo, Ky'Myreul Wheaton, Chyna Nixon, Antronea Jackson, Daija Mitchell, Kyla Clark, and Emori Lasalle will be recognized for their contributions to Temple College Leopards basketball.
Temple (16-12 overall, 6-8 NTJCAC) stunned McLennan on Jan. 31 at The Highlands, 61-50. The Leopards outscored the Highlanders 16-1 in the first quarter and held off MCC over the final three quarters.
Nixon had a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds, Korina Garcia added 15 points, and Jackson contributed 13 for Temple.
Tajenae Gooden scored 17 points, Charnelle Hoof scored 14 points off the bench, and Lanaijah Johnson scored nine points and pulled down nine boards for MCC.
For TC, the Leopards must win against MCC on Wednesday and at Cisco on Saturday, combined with two Hill losses (at Grayson, At Ranger) and a Weatherford loss (Ranger). A win by Hill or Weatherford eliminates TC from a Region V NTJCAC playoff seed.
The Region V Women's Basketball Playoffs start on March 11 in Odessa.
