The Temple College women's basketball team hosted the Grayson College Vikings on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Kirby Johnson Court.
Grayson used a 14-3 run in the second quarter to create separation, as the Vikings defeated the Leopards, 82-57.
Antronea Jackson hit the first basket from the Leopards, as Temple jumped out to a 6-0 lead.
After Temple took a 10-8 lead, the Vikings went on an 8-0 run to take a 16-10 lead with 2:25 to play in the first quarter. Grayson led at the end of the period, 20-13.
The Vikings outscored TC in the second quarter, 17-9, as Grayson led Temple at the half, 37-22.
Grayson opened a 24-point by the end of the third quarter, as the Leopards trailed the Vikings, 61-37.
Temple worked the margin to 13 with a 13-2 run in the fourth quarter. However, the Vikings finished the game on a 21-7 clip to win by 25.
Emori LaSalle scored 12 points, and Gabby Edo and Ke'Myreul Wheaton scored 11 each.
Jaycee Ingram scored 16, Fia Filoialli added 14, and Susan Fahnbulleh and Madison Martin scored 12 each.
Temple will travel to Hillsboro to take on Hill College on Wednesday afternoon at the Bob Bullock Center.
