The Temple College Leopards women's basketball program looked to snap a two-game North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference losing streak as they took on Hill College on Saturday afternoon in Hillsboro.
The Leopards broke away from the Rebels in the second quarter and sprinted to an 81-47 at Bob Bullock Gymnasium.
Temple (12-6 overall, 2-2 NTJCAC) and Hill (3-14 overall, 1-2 NTJCAC) stayed tight in the first quarter, though the Rebels having its only lead of the game a 2-1 advantage 1:15 in.
The balanced scoring of Jaylice Rosario, Janiya Davis, Mikie White, and Biva Byrd combined for a total of 19 points in the first quarter and took a four-point advantage into the second period.
The Leopards continued to pound away at the Rebels' defense to a tune of a 25-point second quarter, which included a 20-4 stretch. Temple led at the half, 44-24.
TC stretched their advantage to 28 points in the third quarter, and led at the end of 30 minutes, 61-37.
Rosario scored 11 of Temple's 20 fourth-quarter points to help the Leopards stake the claim on a 34-point win.
Temple shot 9-of-11 from the free-throw line and hit five three-pointers.
Davis led the Leopards with 17 points, while Rosario and White both scored 14.
Defensively, the Leopards held the Rebels to just four first-half field goals and 12 for the game, which included five three-pointers.
The Rebels hit an impressive 18-of-23 from the charity stripe.
Kaley O'Neal led the Rebels with 17 points.
The Leopards will host Weatherford College on Wednesday afternoon at 5 pm.
