The No. 5 Temple College softball team returns to the Danny Scott Athletic Complex on Tuesday.
Doubleheader game times are slated for 1 pm and 3 pm.
In 2025, the Leopards swept the four-game series from Hill by a total of 43-1. TC outhit the Rangers 43-10 in the series.
Through 40 games, Temple (35-5 overall, 15-1 NTJCAC) is hitting .404 with an on-base percentage of .473 and slugging percentage of .655. The Leopards have homered 44 times, driven in 320 runs, scored 359 times on 428 hits, 80 doubles, 27 triples, have walked 131 times and have stolen 161 bases.
Lexi Dudeczka (.489 BA, .547 OBP, HR, 29 RBI, 21 SB, 18 walks), Reese Cottrell (.466 BA, .528 OBP, nine HR, 55 RBI, 21 walks, 17 doubles), Jasmine Benavidez (.454 BA, .541 OBP, seven HR, 54 RBI, eight triples, 21 SB, 19 walks), Izzy Garcia (.442 BA, .491 OBP, three HR, 17 RBI), Brooklyn Walton (.437 BA, .469 OBP, HR, 19 RBI, 17 SB), Kaiyah Ratu (.412 BA, .489 OBP, 11 HR, 35 RBI, 12 walks), and Marli Kennedy (.375 BA, .433 OBP, two HR, 20 RBI, 29 SB) are amongst the key contributors in the Temple offense.
Through 44 games, Hill has hit .279, has an on-base percentage of .384, and slugging percentage of .385. The Rebels have hit 17 homers and batted in 207. The Rebels have scored 243 runs on 303 hits, 51 doubles, seven triples, have walked 188 times, and stolen 45 bases.
Halle Joy (.381 BA, .476 OBP, two homers, 31 RBI), Malaya Gabriel (.337 BA, .491 OBP, (.329 BA, .380 OBP, four HR, 12 RBI), Ka'Sara Brooks (.333 BA. .453 OBP, four HR, 13 RBI, Kaia Cobb (.295 BA, .438 OBP, three HR, 26 RBI, 20 stolen bases) are amongst the offensive leaders for the Rebels.
Defensively, the Leopards lead the country in fewest errors with 20 in 911 total chances (.978 fielding percentage, first nationally), while the Rebels have committed 65 errors in 1,165 total chances (.944 fielding percentage).
In pitching, Hill has a team earned run average of 5.58 and have 12 complete games in 266 innings pitched. They have allowed 286 runs (212 earned) on 365 hits, struck out 101 batters, have walked 140 and hit eight batters. Teams hit .299 against Rebels pitching.
Madison Mauricio (10-11, 3.56 ERA, 120 IP, 88 runs allowed, 61 earned, 148 hits, struck out 54, walked 35) and Ella Sharp (3-7, 6.51 ERA, 76 runs, 57 earned, 90 hits, walked 31, struck out 25) have carried the Rebels' workload in the circle.
Temple has a team ERA of 2.43 with 13 shutouts, and 12 complete games in 204 innings pitched. The Leopards have allowed 99 runs (84 earned) on 168 hits, struck out 238 hitters, walked 84, and hit 12 batters. Teams hit just .191 against the Leopards staff.
Garcia (16-1, 2.23 ERA, 6 CG, 96 1/3 IP, 34 runs allowed, 28 earned on 56 hits, struck out 111, walked 29) and Kat Kram (11-2, 2.64 ERA, 61 IP, 31 runs allowed, 26 earned on 46 hits, struck out 88, walked 25) are the two main starter for the Leopards.
Following the Tuesday doubleheader, the series will conclude Thursday with a doubleheader in Hillsboro.
