TC men’s basketball faces major road test Saturday at Ranger College

The Temple College men's basketball start the back part of the 2025-2026 North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference schedule on Saturday afternoon as the Leopards play at Ranger College.

Tip time is slated for 4 pm.

Temple won the first game between the teams at Kirby Johnson Court on Jan. 7, 90-83.

The Leopards won makeup home game on Monday, as they defeated Southwestern Christian College, 86-73.

Ranger won a road game at Hill College on Wednesday night, 86-77.

 Through 23 contests, Temple (13-10 overall, 4-3 NTJCAC) has averaged 88 points per game and has allowed 85.4 points.

The Leopards shoot 46% from the field, 30.2% from beyond the arc, and 65.1% at the free-throw line. The Leopards outrebound teams on average, 40.8-38.9, average 16.8 assists, 11.3 steals (tied for 14th nationally, and four blocks.

Josh Telfort (14.4 ppg),  Jaymes Brown-Peterson (12.5 ppg), Roy Gardner (12.1 ppg), Harry Bates (11.2 ppg), and Ovie Agbigbe (8.6 ppg) are the leading scorers for Temple.

Through 22 games, Ranger (9-13 overall, 3-3 NTJCAC) has averaged 76.1 points per game and has allowed 78.4 points. The Rangers shoot 45.5% from the field, 32.6% beyond the three-point line and convert 66.6% at the free-throw line. The Rangers average 38.3 rebounds, 18.6 assists, 7.5 steals, and 3.8 blocks per contest.

Cam Brown (19.8 ppg), Mafatime Ndiaye (12.2 ppg), Devin Whitten (11.2 ppg), and Gavin Headings (9.2 ppg) are the leading scorers for the Rangers.

Following Saturday's game, the Leopards will host at Collin Wednesday at 7 pm.
