The Temple College men's basketball took on Southwestern Christian College on Monday night at Kirby Johnson Court.

The Leopards' 12-0 run out of gate was methodically chipped away at by the Rams. After SWCC took a one-point lead, TC pulled away to win by 13 points, 86-73.

Josh Telfort and Roy Gardner scored ten of Temple's first 12 points over the first 2:31.

Temple stretched their lead to 13 points, 24-11, before Amir McMillian fueled the Rams comeback with a 28-14 stretch to give the Rams a 39-38 lead with four-and-a-minutes to play in the opening half.

The Leopards closed the half with an 8-5 clip and led by two points at the half, 46-44.

Temple outscored SWCC 15-4 in the first 4:32 of the second half to give the Leopards a 61-48 advantage.

The Leopards' largest lead was 16, and the Rams pulled no closer than 13 points at the finish.

TC drained six three-pointers and converted 11-of-17 free-throws.

Gardner, Jaymes Brown-Peterson, and Harry Bates all had 15 points, and Ovie Agbigbe added ten.

SWCC did not make a three-pointer in the game. However, did they convert 23-of-35 free-throw attempts.

McMillian led all scorers with 32 for the Rams. Nico Smith added 16 points, and Ahmare Rose added 12.

Temple will travel to Ranger on Saturday to start the second half of North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference play.
