Temple College baseball will be in a must-win scenario at both ends of their doubleheader on Saturday, as the Leopards will take on No. 25 Weatherford College on Saturday at Roger Williams Ballpark in Weatherford.

The first game starts at noon, with the second starting 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.

Weatherford won both games on Wednesday at the Danny Scott Sports Complex, 18-6 and 14-3. The Coyotes homered 12 times in the doubleheader to power their effort.

Going into Saturday, Grayson leads the conference has clinched the stop in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference at 25-5. The Vikings clinched the top seed in Region V North with their doubleheader sweep over Hill on Wednesday in Denison.

Weatherford (22-8) in one game ahead of MCC (21-9) in second place. Hill (18-12) is one game ahead of Temple (17-13). In a situation where the Rebels and Leopards tie for fourth, Hill owns the tiebreaker based on their 3-1 series win over Temple a couple of weeks ago.

Simply put, Temple must sweep Weatherford and Grayson must sweep Hill for the second time in three days for the Leopards to finish in fourth place and qualify for the Region V Tournament.

Temple (31-22 overall) is hitting .269 with a .379 on-base percentage, have hit 39 homers, 256 RBI, scored 283 runs, and have a team earned run average of 5.64 through 53 contests.

In 53 games, Weatherford (35-18 overall) is hitting .344 with an on-base percentage of .469, have hit 111 homers, drove in 490 runs, scored 518 times, and have a team earned run average of 5.53.
