The Temple College baseball team will travel to Hillsboro on Wednesday as they continue North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference schedule against Hill College.
The doubleheader will start at noon.
The Leopards are coming off a series win over Ranger, split with the Rangers, having split at RC (won 11-6, lost 11-1) and swept the doubleheader at TC (10-0 and 9-3).
Hill swept North Central Texas College by a combined 39-13. Scores of the series were 4-3, 8-2, 10-6, and 17-2.
Temple (27-16 overall, 13-7 NTJCAC) won three of four games in 2025, with the Leopards having won 8-2, 10-9, and 14-6 victories and a 7-3 loss.
The Leopards are hitting .277 as a team with a .332 on-base percentage and .423 slugging percentage. TC has hit 32 homers, driven in 227 runs, scored 251 times on 326 hits, doubled 53 times, booked 11 triples, walked 189 times, and have stolen 55 bases.
Kade Davis (.391 BA, .503 OBP, six HR, 42 RBI, 31 walks, six triples). Wade Stallones (.339 BA, .461 OBP, 17 RBI, 31 walks), Kanyon Millar (.297 BA, .426 OBP, six HR, 24 RBI, 19 walks) and Chase Fricke (.288 BA, .420 OBP, seven HR, 337 RBI) are amongst the top offensive leaders for the Leopards.
Through 40 games, Hill (27-13 overall, 12-8 NTJCAC) have hit .300 with an on-base percentage of .384 and .489 slugging percentage with 44 homers and 274 RBI. The Rebels have scored 304 runs on 334 hits, clubbed 68 doubles, five triples, walked 217 times and stolen 71 bases.
Samuel York (.409 BA, .571 OBP, six HR 39 RBI, 28 walks, 13 stolen bases), Trent Thompson (.364 BA, .429 OBP, four HR, 24 RBI), Dryden Fuoco (.362 BA, .531 OBP, five HR, 31 RBI, 24 BB), Thomas McHugh (.301 BA, .454 OBP, four HR, 32 RBI), and Jeziel Serrano (.250 BA, .327 OBP, six HR, 35 RBI) are among the top producers for Hill.
The Leopards' staff earned run average is 4.96 over the course of the season. In 297 2/3 innings pitched, TC has allowed 193 runs (164 earned) on 273 hits, struck out 296 hitters, walked 141, and hit 38 batters. Opponents hit .240 against the Leopards.
Joseph McMurtry (8-0, 1.94 ERA, 51 IP, 11 earned runs allowed, 31 hits, 69 strikeouts, 18 walks), Thomas Perez (3-2, 3.76 ERA, 38 1/3 IP, 16 earned runs, 38 hits, struck 36, walked 11), Peyton Reynolds (4-2, 5.18 ERA, 24 earned runs on 49 hits allowed in 41 2/3 innings, 39 strikeouts, 13 walks), and Kade Davis (3-3, 6.00 ERA, 38 strikeouts, 26 walks in 42 IP) are the primary starters for TC.
Hill has a team ERA of 4.93 in 286 2/3 innings pitched.
Austin Lindsey (7-1, 4.72 ERA, 38 strikeouts, 23 BB), Landon Karrh (6-3, 4.74 ERA, 54 K's, 12 BB), and Evan Sanchez (4-2, 4.46 ERA, 31 K's, 14 BB's) are the primary starters for the Rebels.
Following the Wednesday doubleheader, the teams will face off on Saturday in doubleheader action at the Danny Scott Sports Complex to conclude the series.
