The Temple College baseball team will travel to Ranger on Wednesday as they continue North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference schedule against Ranger College.
The doubleheader will start at noon.
The Leopards are coming off a series split with Grayson College, with splitting doubleheaders in Temple and Denison.
Ranger swept North Central Texas College by a combined 42-21.
Temple (24-15 overall, 10-6 NTJCAC) won three of four games in 2025, with the Leopards having won 11-1, 10-0, and 9-0 victories and a 10-1 loss.
The Leopards are hitting .265 as a team with a .380 on-base percentage and .393 slugging percentage. TC has hit 22 homers, driven in 180 runs, scored 200 times on 266 hits, doubled 40 times, booked 11 triples, walked 162 times, and have stolen 53 bases.
Kade Davis (.421 BA, .529 OBP, four HR, 36 RBI, 27 walks, six triples). Wade Stallones (.319 BA, .456 OBP, 13 RBI, 20 walks), and Chase Fricke (.292 BA, .405 OBP, six HR, 33 RBI) are amongst the top offensive leaders for the Leopards.
Through 39 games, Ranger (17-22 overall, 6-14 NTJCAC) have hit .286 with an on-base percentage, .423 on-base percentage, and .439 slugging percentage with 30 homers and 235 RBI. The Rangers have scored 297 runs on 324 hits, clubbed 59 doubles, 12 triples, walked 62 times and stolen 96 bases.
Jeremiah Torres (.397 BA, .525 OBP, 15 doubles, two HR, 33 RBI), Ashton Fisher (.317 BA, .444 OBP, seven HR, 25 RBI, 20 walks), Samuel Kelley (.313 BA, .425 OBP, five HR, 26 RBI, 21 walks), and Reid Richard (.302 BA, .496 OBP, two HR, 17 RBI, 27 walks, 20 stolen bases) are amongst the offensive leaders for the Rangers.
Temple has committed 44 errors on 1,161 total chances (.962 fielding percentage).
Ranger has committed 50 errors on 1,446 total chances (.965 fielding percentage.
The Leopards' staff earned run average is 4.90 over the course of the season. In 271 2/3 innings pitched, TC has allowed 173 runs (148 earned) on 244 hits, struck out 271 hitters, walked 129, and hit 36 batters. Opponents hit .236 against the Leopards.
Joseph McMurtry (7-0, 2.20 ERA, 45 IP, 11 earned runs allowed, 30 hits, 62 strikeouts, 17 walks), Thomas Perez (3-1, 3.76 ERA, 38 1/3 IP, 16 earned runs, 38 hits, struck 36, walked 11), Peyton Reynolds (4-2, 5.03 ERA, 22 runs on 37 hits allowed in 39 1/3 innings, 34 strikeouts, 12 walks), and Kade Davis (3-3, 6.00 ERA, 38 strikeouts, 26 walks in 42 IP are the primary starters for TC.

McMurtry earns NTJCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor
Temple College pitcher Joseph McMurtry earned the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honor, announced on Friday. It is the second time McMurtry has garnered the honor in 2026.
McMurtry, a freshman from Troy, tossed a two-hit shutout against Cisco College in Temple's 13-0 win. He struck out eight Wranglers and just four baserunners reached.
